There are 6 Main YuGiOh Card Types:
Common: A Common card is identified by having a black or white card name and the image is not holofoiled
Rare: A Rare card is identified by having a silver card name and the image is not holofoiled
Super: A Super Rare card is identified by having a black or white card name and the image is a holofoil
Ultra: An Ultra Rare card is identified by having a gold card name and a holofoil image
Secret: A Secret Rare card is identified by having a silver card name and the image has a unique holofoil known as a parallel holofoil (named due to the parallel dot effect on the image)
Ultimate: This Has Foil on everything, Title, Artwork, Attribute icon, and stars.

Starter Decks and Structure Decks
Certain cards are printed in sets called "structure" or "starter" decks. These are packs where each and every card in it is guarenteed. This means the the 'super' or 'ultra' cards in it are not worth any more than the commons in it. For example, Starter Deck Yugi contained:
SDY-006 Dark Magician (Ultra Rare)
SDY-041 Soul Exchange (Super Rare)
SDY-042 Card Destruction (Super Rare)
You can recognize starter/strcuture deck cards by the first 3 characters of the card number. SDY, SYE, SDK, SKE, SDJ, SDP, YSDS, YSDJ, SD# (where # is a number), SDRL, SDSC, SDDE, SDZW, YSD, 5DS1, 5DS2, and SDWS.
